Team Culture

Sip Sip Hooray!

2019 was another great year for Lucid IQ. We took some time out to have fun at Punch Bowl Social for our Holiday Party this year. We have many things to be thankful for… another year together as a team, and the recent engagement of our CFO to his future bride Darci.

Making a SPLASH!

Summers in Texas are long, hot and humid. It’s been reported that Texas heat is more sweltering than most tropical islands! Our Operations Manager Amy’s son Trey, who is 16, has figured out how to stay “cool” this summer by securing his first job as a Lifeguard. Back in April, he was inspired to get Red Cross Lifeguard certified – a grueling 30 hour hands-on course, over the span of four days. With Trey’s certification, he was armed with the credentials to obtain his first job, and found employment quickly at one of the city’s water parks. The hours are long, and the days are hot, but with a brand new drivers license, and “new-to-him” car, he needs all the money he can get. Amy joined Lucid IQ in 2003 when Trey was only three years old. We have watched him grow from a toddler into a fine young man. We are proud of you Trey! Congratulations on your first job!

HOME is where your heart is

Lucid IQ’s Client Service Manager, Jaya Choudhury, visited her family in India in March of this year. After living in the US for 18 months, she and her family traveled almost 24 hours to get to her hometown of Kolkata. Jaya was able to practice a value near and dear to the heart of Lucid IQ, a work-life balance. The primary reason for her visit was to offer support to her mother-in-law who had recently undergone surgery. Jaya says being able to celebrate precious moments and traveling down memory lane is what made her trip so memorable. She was able to attend her brother-in-law’s birthday celebration, visit a friend’s new born son, and collect some of her precious childhood books to pass along to her son Ranveer. “It is never easy to part ways with your family when the time comes, but that is what the journey of life is all about. We part to meet after some time, somewhere to create wonderful memories once again!”

Lucid IQ Team Celebrates 2016 Holidays “Texas-Style”

Each year our team plans a fun and interactive event to celebrate the holidays and our hard work over the past year. 2016 was no different. Our employees, along with their guests were invited to experience a “hands-on” cooking class at our local Central Market. As a group we created our own meal incorporating the bold and delicious ingredients that characterize our beloved state. Once we prepared the meal, we sat down and shared it, family style. Each participant helped craft our wonderful menu that included roasted tomato with Texas goat cheese bruschetta, Texas pecan crusted crab cakes, slow roast beef tenderloin with a roasted jalapeno béarnaise sauce, savory corn and cheddar pudding and we ended it off with a tres leches crème brulee. From our team to yours, Happy New Year!
